My objective was to create an interesting design, manipulating the text. I had to use a triadic color scheme going with red, greens, and blues. My focus was visual unity and emphasis, which is why I decided to covert the text to type path. Simplicity is key, as I do not want to much happening in my design.
I created the disco ball in illustrator by starting with a circular shape, then converted the object to 3D object, expanding the appearance. Each square on the disco ball is editable! This event flyer was the first of many, and I am super elated with how the disco ball emulates on the flyer.
