I was super ecstatic to re-create my favorite video game characters! It was a project to show my knowledge of the 3D tool and the use of vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator! It was very fun, attention to detail, and using the pen tool to create the vector map for the 3D characters. The colors are very flat and still follow the base game. I did enjoy completing this, and shows entry way to the world of 2D animation.
I used references from the official Animal Crossing website and character photos from Pinterest to help with accuracy and swatches. The only set back to creating 3D vectors is that the render does take a bit of time! I hope to do more projects similar in the future.
